Mum's Birthday Bash

The evening started off at 7.45 p.m. and went on till midnite! The food was marvellous and so were the line-up of events for the nite! My son, Edward was the MC for the nite! Lil bro, Thomas started off with the opening prayer which was then followed up by my welcome speech. Had lots written about my mum but couldn't deliver cos I was getting emotional and choking! So, I decided to cut it short, I mean, real short!!! It was a really enjoyable and unforgettable evening cos there were so many interesting events lined up. All the events presented were 'classics' in their own special ways. One thing was for sure, no one felt bored cos they were laughing their pants off!! They included a 'magic' show by Ben, Vijay and Viven, a CSI Malaysia sketch by my nephews, a dance number by my nieces with their Uncle Joy, a BEST Dressed Male and Female competition, a guitar performance by my sons, Edward and Melvin and the highlight of the day was of course the dance performance by the PUSSY CAT Mums, who danced away to the tune of SWAY!!! Thank you everyone for a wonderful evening of pure fun and laughter!!

Dear Mr. Iceman 62,

I was at your Mum's 70th Birthday Party and it was truly a blast. I am in total agreement with you when you said that we were laughing our pants off.

However, I have to take exception to your statement that “the highlight of the night was the performance by the Pussycat Mums”. It is my opinion that your statement is both bias and unjust as the performers were your own wife, sisters and sister-in law.

I personally believe the best performance or rather the highlight of that night was the Blaine Brothers Magic Smagic. Never have I been treated to such vulgar yet splendorous, magnificent and artful magic show. The sight of those two cheeks strenuously flexing to keep the card in place will forever be etched in my memory. A standing ovation is due for that act alone. I have never enjoyed magic as much as this since I was kid.

I also believe the awards for best dressed male & female competition were awarded based on favouritism as it was your brother and sister who were the recipients of the said awards. I casted my vote for male best dressed the minute I saw the hip-gyrating move by your nephew (the atrociously good-looking one in his green shirt) and believed he would win. What class and style. Alas, what a pity...

I thank you once again for inviting me to your mum’s birthday party and hope to see more of these performances and competitions at her 80th Birthday Party, of course conducted and judged fairly without any play of favouritism.

Yours truly,

A Guest At The Party
